Lakeside is a well established, 35 bed Nursing Home for the Elderly, which is registered by the London Borough of Croydon. The Home was originally founded in 1984 and is situated by the peaceful South Norwood Lake. Lakeside has a well kept back garden which is regularly used by residents throughout the year.
Lakeside specialises in both short and long stay care for elderly people with Dementia and mental illnesses.
The Home is family run and provides a safe, warm environment in a homely atmosphere. Our experienced, friendly and caring staff provide 24 hour care. Lakeside Philosophy
We aim to provide the highest quality and standard of care to maintain and optimise the residents’ quality of life. All residents are seen as individuals with their own rights, likes and dislikes, dreams and ambitions. We aim to to help each individual resident to achieve or sustain whatever it is that puts a smile on their face. This could be from something as simple as helping to fold the napkins for supper to taking them out to their favourite shop for the day. Care
We have a mix of fully qualified nurses and carers who are on duty 24 hours a day and are there to provide the support necessary for each resident at Lakeside. We appreciate that as people get older they may need a helping hand in getting on with their daily lives and our staff are always there to provide this. However, we also believe that people take pride in achieving even the simplest tasks by themselves, and this is always encouraged.
